Vince Lovegrove Interview

Vince Lovegrove Interview
In 1998 I worked for TNT Magazine in London briefly with singer, band manager, music critic, author and HIV/AIDS pioneer Vince Lovegrove. At the time I was also doing a course in radio and decided to make a documentary on TNT Magazine. I have never broadcast the documentary before. Vince Lovegrove very kindly agreed to be interviewed by me. He was a very down to earth, kind and friendly colleague. Here he talks about TNT Magazine's role in promoting Australian bands in the UK and his interview with Michael Hutchence which was to be his last before he was found dead in Sydney in 1997. Vince died in car crash in Byron Bay this week. I have decided to post his section of the documentary as a tribute to him. This is the first time this has ever been broadcast

Disclaimer: I don't own anything. I am not trying to make a profit from this. No copyright infringement intended. Lyrics: Are you gonna wake again? Are you gonna take it down? Oh babe, I don't wanna deal it Oh, make it alright Gimme some, my love Away, away, away I just wanna slide away and come alive again I just wanna slide away and come alive again I will see that love again, and find a life again I just wanna slide away and come alive again I wanted to let it go Just couldn't let it go I wanted to let it go Just couldn't let you go I would catch you (Just couldn't let you go) I'd catch you as you fall (Just couldn't let it go) I would catch you (Just couldn't let you go) I'd catch you if I heard your call But you tore a hole in space Like a dark star, falls from grace You burn across the sky And I would find you wings to fly And I would catch you I would catch your fall I just wanna slide away and come alive again I just wanna slide away and come alive again I will see t! hat love again, and find a life again I just wanna slide away and come alive again...

The Who - Behind Blue Eyes

The Who - Behind Blue Eyes
Behind Blue Eyes, written by P.Townshend from the album Who's Next. Who's Next is the fifth studio album by English rock band The Who, released in August 1971. The album has origins in a rock opera conceived by Pete Townshend called Lifehouse. The ambitious, complex project did not come to fruition at the time and instead, many of the songs written for the project were compiled onto Who's Next as a collection of unrelated songs. Who's Next was a critical and commercial success when it was released, and has been certified 3× platinum by the RIAA. Roger Daltrey -- lead vocals Pete Townshend -- guitars, organ, VCS3 and ARP synthesiser, backing vocals John Entwistle -- bass guitar, backing vocals, brass Keith Moon -- drums, percussion Production: Produced By The Who & Glyn Johns Recorded, Engineered & Mixed By Glyn Johnes Photography -- Ethan A.
